Baltimore spending row grants Associated Black Charities control of city’s $12M girl fund

Baltimore’s Board of Estimates authorized a bargain on Wednesday that would spin over control of a city’s new $12 million account for children and teenagers to Associated Black Charities for one year.

The chit of bargain between a city and a nonprofit will put Associated Black Charities in assign of administration of a girl account via 2018.

City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young called a girl account “historic.”

“We’re going to build a never-before-seen indication for distributing grants,” Young said.

Catherine E. Pugh controls a five-member Board of Estimates, that authorized a bargain with ABC.
